Quincy Heard was named head men's and women's golf coach in August of 2012.

Originally from Montgomery AL, Quincy has been in Oregon since 1988. Married to Liisa, Quincy is a United States Navy veteran. He entered into the PGA Professional Development Program in 1998 and was elected to membership in the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA) in 2006.

Quincy has served of the Portland Parks and Recreation Bureau Golf Advisory Committee since 2003. He has also served on the Oregon Chapter PGA Board of Directors where he was the chairperson of the Play Golf America Committee and on the Inclusion Committee.

Quincy has worked almost exclusively with junior golfers since 2002 with Portland Youth Golf Association which later became The First Tee of Portland, during which time over 100 youngsters matriculated to college receiving some level of financial assistance through golf. He was recognized by the Oregon Golf Association as the 2010 Golf Professional of the Year and the Oregon Chapter PGA as the 2011 Junior Golf Leader of the Year.

Quincy is now the CEO/Founder of Summit Golf Foundation (SGF). SGF is a non-profit golf school and academy that offers youth a chance to play golf. SGF was created to provide a junior golf program for youth in foster care and other youth in the Vancouver/Portland area. SGF provides a welcoming learning environment open to youth 8-18 who want to have fun while learning and playing the game of golf. The exemplary instructional program focuses on providing learning criteria, skill development, and golf course access for individuals of all abilities.
